Social & ecological commitment

The Mogador company is committed to ensuring that the added value remains in the Arganeraie and that the working conditions of the Berber women are made easier. Those who live in villages should also have the opportunity to improve their income. For this reason, Mogador entered into a partnership with the Berber women of the women's association AFA (Association des Femmes d'Argane). The goals of the partnership are to reduce poverty by increasing the income of the Berber women and to maintain the added value directly in the Arganeraie under easier working conditions.

The argan seeds are cracked in traditional manual work, then they are cold-pressed according to modern Western standards. This makes the women's work easier. The natural argan oil obtained is of high quality and lasts for 24 months.

Mogador is an active member of the Mohammed VI Foundation. for research and conservation of the argan tree.
The foundation carries out various projects for planting, protection of the argan tree and research.

Member of the Moroccan "Fair Trade" Association, and committed to the guidelines for a Fair Trade partnership with the AFA "Association des Femmes d'Argan". 

Mogador is a supporting member of Slow Food e.V., a worldwide association of conscious connoisseurs and responsible consumers who have made it their task to cultivate the culture of eating and drinking and keeping it alive.

Mogador is registered with the German Animal Welfare Association and in the positive list of the IHTK (International Association of Manufacturers against Animal Testing in Cosmetics e.V.). The natural cosmetics line from Mogador is manufactured without animal testing.
